Dam stock yabbies are currently available at $120/100 (includes GST). Currently no quantity limits but PICK UP ONLY from our farm at Bulahdelah NSW.
Dam stock are the perfect size for stocking any farm dam. They are large enough to be too big for most eels and fish to eat, mature enough to breed right away, small enough not to wander from the dam.
We can fit 200 per standard foam box for transport. You can bring your own esky or broccoli box and we can pack them into your container or you can purchase foam boxes from us at $10/box.
OUR STOCK
Our farm has been stocked with Rob McCormack’s, Australian Aquatic Biological P/L improved stock. His special genetic strains have been cultured for over 30 years. The initial stock was sourced from his original farm Crayhaven Aquacultural Industries which was the largest privately owned yabby farm in NSW. For over 20 years as yabby farmers and industry leaders they selected their best yabby strains for breeding each year. In 2004 when they sold that farm they kept some of the best yabby brood stock for the new farm (AustSilvers) at Swan Bay.
Additionally, Rob McCormack was the overseer of the CSIRO Super Yabby program, at the end of that project the results of the Project and CSIRO super yabby stock was given to Robert to distribute. Some of that CSIRO super yabby broodstock was used to enhance his Crayhaven improved stock.
Additionally, over the last 30 years, Rob used his Mid West Yabby & Fish Traders best stock from his Dubbo, Gilgandra and Peak Hill Farms to also enhance his improved breeding stock.
That stock has been nurtured over the years and with the help of Rob my Bulahdelah farm was stocked with Rob’s best stock. Blackrock Yabbies has been fully stocked with this improved yabby stock which loves Bulahdelah and is thriving resulting in large numbers now available for sale. Blackrock yabbies is a work in progress and we will continue to construct new ponds and expand over the coming years. Our originally stocked ponds are now bearing fruit and we are NOW selling dams stock from the farm to those that wish to stock their dams.
