Dam stock is available all year round, however, now is NOT the best time to stock. Yabbies are cold blooded, as the water cools, they slow down, they don’t eat much or grow. They do not breed over autumn/winter. You are stocking your dams with dam stock, you want them to be breeding straight away, the new breeding season starts end of August. From then on is the best time. Please hold your orders till then, you will be far more successful in establishing a population.
